Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons to fill the position of Business Development Lead to be attached to Mobile Money Guyana Inc. (mmg+)

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, or Sales & Marketing, or Economics or related field required; or 4+ years of related experience
  • Experience in electronic payments or financial institutions; in sales and external channel management would be an asset.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write reports, correspondence, and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees.
  • Experience in business sales is not necessary but would be an asset.
  • Experience in leading a team

ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVES:

As Business Development Lead will lead a team in attaining target expansion of the MMG ecosystem; works with cross-functional and external teams to meet and exceed company business goals.

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Develop and implement strategies to expand MMG’s presence and usage across all demographics and business sectors.
  • Identify, source, and prioritize the partnerships that Mobile Money Guyana Inc. should be focusing on in order to meet the above business goals.
  • Develop new initiatives for reaching businesses, including but not limited to effectively managing the expansion of businesses adopting MMG as a payment method.
  • Lead the identification of new businesses by finding key strategic decision-makers and reach out to new potential partners and clients through the creation of networking and other lead generation opportunities.
